Folks, we got good news with the temps dipping. Feels like Fall with the colors on the Mo’ and the temps in the low 30s. This morning it was 25 degrees. BWOs should be hatching this weekend. Our info predicts prime BWO hatch will be this weekend. Still a ton of pseudos out there. October Caddis – not really. Some smaller caddis.

Nymphing: Warrior Perdigon, Psycho May, Blooms Weight Fly, Tailwater Sowbug, Frenchie, Zebra Midge, Hares Ear, Fish Finder Worm, Green Machine, Duracell, Pill Popper

For nymphing start out fishing four to six feet deep. As the afternoon progresses, shorten up to 3 to 4 feet. Top fly should be a wooly bugger on top and and for bottom do a psycho may. Deeper water in the morning then a lot more riffle shallow in the afternoon as they start moving up on the hatching bugs.

Dry FliesCorn Fed Caddis, Hi-Vis Rusty Spinner, Parachute Adams, CDC Caddis, Stimulator, Cluster Midge, Smokejumper Midge, CDC Emerger Baetis, Orange Chubby, Sweet Dreams Hopper

October means streamer fishing. Get those sinking leaders going RIO or SA. Come in the shop we have them. Swing and throw them everywhere, strip it off the banks. Pretty straight forward. Also, fish those big streamers. they are chasing and there are less weeds now.
